My name is Shawna!
Some of you might be wondering why I am the one who is answering your questions! Well, I have tons of experience as a health educator in the world of reproductive health (the parts of your body that are responsible for making babies though baby making may not be the goal). I have a degree in Health Education, I studied with the San Francisco Sex Information, and I have worked at various clinics throughout San Francisco. My goal is to provide people of all backgrounds with the best possible sexual health information possible. My job is not to tell people what is right or wrong (in a moral sense that is), my job is to simply provide health information and guide people toward figuring out what is best for them.
And just to be clear, I am not a clinician. None of this is meant to replace being seen by a clinician. I can provide information but not a diagnosis. All medical concerns should be evaluated by a clinician. Please see the disclaimer in the ‘About’ section.
